basket stuff? UPDATED 10/28/08

Nile and I are open to suggestions for what to include in the gift baskets. We would like to try and get samples of formulas or at least coupons if we can't get samples. Also, a brochure explaining who we are and basic info. I am going to try and get Illinois Nut and Candy to donate some products. They were at the conference and their safe chocolates were sooooo good! I was thinking of including a copy of the cookbook available for download on PGC's website, but a suggestion was made to include our own recipes. So, waddya all think, what else should we include in the basket, and should we create our own book o' recipes? I was also thinking of green and red stickers so parents could label "yes" and "no" foods.

After our MEETING on 10/28/08, it was decided to post basket ideas here. Any informative pamphlets, brochures, etc, should be emailed to all members for "approval" of our name on the materials

These are all great ideas. I am not sure if it is better to include our own recipes. I am very intersted in helping out with the baskets or putting stuff together for baskets. I will try to get some formula or coupons, red and green stickers, recipes, etc.

Hi--we will discuss these baskets on our conference call--bring your ideas! I say we come up with our own recipes--I am willing to put several together. Even just a simple list of "things your child CAN have"---it's so overwhelming when you have a new baby and think he/she will never be able to eat anything! Also, I am working on a brochure and that will be available to put in the basket--I'm waiting for a permanent web address. I don't think we will be swamped with requests for baskets--so we don't want to get too much stuff together--don't want things sitting around too long. Talk to you all wed.

I think the recipes are a good idea. Maybe we can keep it to 1 or 2 from each family so as not to overwhelm a new family that doesn't have to think about solid foods yet.

I was thinking about making some simple earrings that match the PGC bracelets and putting those in the baskets for new mom's. It could be a congratulations gift for mom and be sent to her in honor of her new baby??????????What do you think? I know not everyone has pierced ears, but I'm willing to take the chance and would donate these on my own so our group would be out nothing.
